It was one of those days. We all have them. Well, mine came yesterday. If you’re striving to follow the path of your spirit you are continually trying to be a person of kindness, love, and patience. Sometimes you look around at the masses of humanity and think, By Jove, I’ve to it. I get this spiritual stuff! And then you are tested and flunk.
That’s what happened to me yesterday when I was put in the middle of a test with a couple of energy thieves and several employees all pointing their fingers at the others saying, “It’s not my responsibility.” I felt myself get sucked into the thick negative energy and it wasn’t until the end of the day when they were gone that I could evaluate the information without the thick negative energy bombarding me. I understood the truth. Yes, the customer was extremely toxic and difficult, but we messed up. Plain and simple. Buck stops here. The end.
We all make mistakes, but it is important that we learn from our mistakes so we can grow and not make the same mistake again. So, how do you handle mistake? I’ve found introspection and humility. I am humbled as I recite the words from the Talmud: “Who is wise? One who learns from all.”
